A Full Year of Art Instruction for 26-27!

DJUSD funds an onsite art teacher at MME for half of the school year. This year, our PTA is funding an art instructor to continue our art program for the second half. We'd like to carry this model into next school year and raise funds to continue bringing a qualified art instructor into MME to fill this gap. Let's keep more art opportunities in our school!

Why is art important? Art education supports creativity, confidence, problem-solving, fine motor skills, and emotional expression. It gives students a chance to explore new materials, develop visual literacy, and experience hands-on learning that complements their academic subjects. Maintaining a strong art program helps us nurture well-rounded, imaginative, and engaged learners.
